Blended Whisky

# Home > Whisky

Blended whisky from Scotland is commonly known as Scotch, whereas blended whiskey (note the spelling) is usually Irish.

Blended Whisky is a blend of two or more different types of whisky, usually malt and grain, but it could just as well contain corn or rye. Rye is quite common in Canadian blends, for example. Basically any combination is considered a blend.

If the combination is only from malt, for example, it is techinally still a blend, but is usually called Blended Malt or Vatted Malt instead.
